Dear Friend and Rotarians,
November is the month of "the Rotary Foundation".
In 1928, Arch C. Klump thought that working for the less fortunate would promote solidarity, involvement and solidarity among the Rotarians.
Commitment together creates friendship.
This pearl on the crown is unique to Rotary. Other service clubs do not have such a foundation in their organization.
Thanks to the sharing i system, does the Foundation offer our clubs enormous opportunities for charity? and solidarity.
The Foundation offers financial support for:
- humanitarian actions: local / international (since 1963)
- End polio now (since 1985)
- scholarships (since 1947)
- Peace fellowship (since 1999)
- Disaster Relief Fund (very recent: since 2019).
How has the Foundation built up the financial funds?
- At the governor's visit, the clubs give the "governor's check" and / or donate to Polio +.
- There are various options for the individual Rotarians: Every Rotarian Every Year, Paul Harris Fellow Donations, Paul Harris Society donations, legacies and donations from Rotarians and sympathizers.
In the meantime, the Foundation owns 2170 for our district with nice funds that are only intended for solidarity in the broad sense.
The contributions from the clubs go to an Annual Fund. 50% to the World Fund managed by the foundation and 50% to the District Designated Fund managed by the district.
Personal donations to the Annual Fund-SHARE have the same value as club donations. They count towards the annual district total and these funds are made available for district and Global Grants.
If you want to multiply the club stake of a humanitarian project, you can make use of district or Global Grants, subject to certain procedures.
You can find more information at Harmony: A Vibrant Club.

Here you will find the presentations of the "A Vibrant Club" seminar.
What message do we want to give you with this?
Too few of these enormous possibilities are being used.
Rotary International does not intend to raise funds, but to make them available for sustainable development and project support.
We realize that the imposed procedures are not always easy.
We therefore recommend that you wish to support a project through a district or global grant or before proposing a student grant to a student, to inform you at the district committee Foundation or at Rotarians with experience. The speakers at the seminar will certainly help you with this. .

Recently Foundation Ambassadors were also trained, who are willing to support Foundation club committees. You can always contact me about this
The Club club committees have an important and very challenging task to adapt projects that the club wants to support to the five pillars of the Foundation. For example, the amount invested can be multiplied by a district or global grant.
You will find a lot of information on the Rotary.org website that will certainly inspire and inspire you.
And so projects in collaboration with the Foundation will connect you with other rotarians and other organizations "all over the world".
