Apply for your Rotary Foundation 2140 Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year!

The application deadline is February 28, 2025, using the following application form.

District 2140 offers seven scholarships, ranging in amount from €2,000 to €10,000, to support one additional year of study (a Master's degree or other degree program leading to a postgraduate diploma) in a country where Rotary has a presence.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, two Global Grants of $30,000 are also available. These scholarships are awarded to students who:

  • are committed to Rotary ideals and are able to serve as ambassadors for Rotary abroad.
  • have obtained at least a master's degree (or equivalent) or a professional bachelor's degree, or will obtain this degree in the current academic year.
  • and wish to further their studies at a university or higher education institution abroad (i.e., outside Belgium).

The candidate (m/f) must meet the requirements for participation in the selection procedure and, nominated by a certified Rotary/Rotaract club, must submit an application (see link above). The regulations are available here.

District 2140 comprises 81 Rotary Clubs in the provinces of Antwerp, Limburg, Flemish Brabant, and non-French-speaking Brussels.

The Rotary Foundation is one of the world's leading private institutions offering scholarships at the university and higher education institution levels. These scholarships are recognized worldwide.

District 2140 offers various scholarships for the Rotary academic year 2024-2025 / 2025-2026:

  • Seven District scholarships worth approximately €45,000 (total)
  • Two GG Scholarships worth $30,000 each
  • Rotary Peace Fellowships for 2026-2027

Important requirements:

  • Applications due by February 28, 2026
  • Applications through a Rotary club of District 2140
  • The candidate (male/female) must have lived and/or resided and/or studied in District 2140 for at least five years and be proficient in Dutch

A club wishing to nominate a candidate for a scholarship must be certified.
