On Saturday, September 16, 2023, we will launch again for the 10th edition of the Dragon Boat Festival, Home - drakenbootfestival.be, which will take place at the Kattendijkdok on the Eilandje. The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival is one of the biggest summer happenings in Antwerp.
Year after year, the number of loyal participants and supporters of the Dragon Boat Festival grows. For the 10th time already we can organize this wonderful event and not least thanks to our participants! Within the companies, staff can sign up to participate. Companies may also ask third parties, customers, suppliers, etc. to be part of the crew.
For the participants, participating in the Dragon Boat Festival is primarily about having fun together. Do you know that at the companies that participated before, people are still talking about it, across the departments?!
Participation is an element of: team building, public relations, goodwill and exposure.
In addition to pure competition team building, it offers you as a company the opportunity to receive your customers, suppliers and regular relations in a relaxed atmosphere and to introduce every visitor to your company. This makes this unforgettable event, next to the spectacle of the dragon boat races, the ideal day out for the whole family.
Entrance is free. During the previous years, more than 6,000 visitors enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere around the water. The playfully dressed teams are in themselves an attraction on the water, but there is more to experience. For the little ones there is a real children's village with bouncy castle, clowns, make-up artists and magician. Atmosphere is assured throughout the day on the grounds and in the party tent with live performances and numerous performances such as this one by the Asian drum band Feniks Taiko.
To feed the hungry and refresh the thirsty, excellent catering is provided with hot and cold dishes, snacks, sweets, a wide choice of drinks and lots of Belgian beer. After the final around 16h00, there will be partying until the wee hours.
