It was bitterly cold on the Thursday that we had chosen to visit the Christmas market. The result was that not only few Rotarians had come from our club to the city, but in general there were few people to visit the market. Annemie and Johan were arranged at the Opera metro station, and Edwige and Eric were picked up en route to the Grote Markt.

A little along the ice rink on the Groenplaats, then through the magical winter forest on the Handschoenmarkt to end up on the Grote Markt. Occasionally a gin (there are exceptions), had to protect us a bit against the wind that blew through the clothes.

Finally a short visit to the stalls at the height of the stone, after which we were very pleased that we could finally warm ourselves in the Zao Wang restaurant. The fishing boat was popular, there was drinking and lots of fun.
