The place of the appointment was Maison Mason at the Tavernierkaai. Our chairman Annemie and Ilse were the first to arrive, but had to conclude that Maison Mason was closed. Fortunately Ilse knew what to do and immediately contacted the manager who came to open the door. Considering the bad weather, he assumed that nobody would come anyway, and he had closed everything.
The necessary cocktails only partially warmed us up, and it was Martine from the bar who came up with the idea of giving us nice and warm blankets. In the pouring rain, under a sail outside and with a fire in the middle of the table, we spent our APERotary of September shivering.
Afterwards we went to eat at restaurant Roest on the Sint-Aldegondiskaai. A hip restaurant where you have to pay attention where you put your feet. The usual smile moments were again frequent, and after a nice meal, everyone went home satisfied.
