Together with 10 members of Rotary Club Boom Rupel, Ilse, Annemie, Edwige, Isabelle, Ian and Eric received the 20 youngsters from the Holiday Exchange Program at restaurant 'Pasta Hippo Vino' after their trip to Ghent. There was a separate room on the first floor where the beautiful view of the cathedral immediately stood out.
After the appetizer, where the possibility was given to take an alcohol-free cocktail, the choice was between a meat dish, a fish dish and a vegetarian dish. Afterwards a dessert followed and many of us choose the 'Dame Blanche'. The food was tasty and very tasted, but the service could be a little better. One of the tables with young people had not received their main course at nine o'clock and when Edwige asked downstairs what the problem was, it turned out that the garcons had already checked on the computer that our guests had already received their food. After her intervention, they are happily released from their hunger.
After Ilse had expressed a word of thanks to our partners of RC Boom Ruppel, Max from Austria spoke a few words to thank both clubs for the brilliant day in the name of all young people. When asked whether some young people needed guidance to the youth hostel, no one answered positively. All of them still felt like taking a step into the Antwerp night. So everyone left the restaurant around 11 o'clock with a satisfied feeling.
